What can i see?
This is an abstract image with a very unique style as it is a wild blend between digitally synthesized images and normal pictures. The image is heavily focused in the centre as there are parts which are mirrored but this was not placed on the whole image which leaves the viewer scanning for differences. It is a very “loud” image due to the bright popping colours and visually appealing patterns. The frame of this image is bedazzled in black and white patterns and the centre is a cluster of complex geometry engulfing a skull. The border of the image looks like a barcode and so is a particoloured black and white pattern. In the middle of the image I can see an atmospheric effect whereby there a many of stars.
Feelings & Mood:
This image is definitely a very lively image due to the bright and contrasting colours, and also the fact that even the frame of the image (a part which is usually known for having a more supporting role in the image) is trippy. There isn’t much to the image in terms of people or subjects which diminishes what we can get from the image in terms of mood. This image has a feeling of good and bad, right and wrong. The white and black is of course symbolic for its contrast which shows right and wrong. The vibrant colours make the image seem happy and good, however the skull in the centre of the image seems to displace that theme and replace it with a good and bad theme.
This image has a very strong composition wise, despite the fact it has barely any optically composed elements. The image has many leading lines (and arrows) pointing towards the skull in the centre of the image. Most, of the image is symmetrical, some parts aren’t however in my opinion it makes the image more varied and complex, something I appreciate more. The first place I look first is the direct centre of the image, it’s bright, vibrant and geometric; of a lot of interest. I next begin to notice the contrast between the white and black.
Colour & Mood:
All the colours very vivid and vibrant, as a result the image is much happier and pleasant to look at. My favourite part is the fact yet the colour range of the image so vast yet they all work well together, especially the way they contrast. The yellow in this image definitely draws attention vert well is rather paramount to the formation of the image, without it them I think the image would be too bland. The digital synthesis of this image makes it seem beyond human expectations of what one could muster together.
Light & Tone:
This image is very 2-D, this is due to the lack of light and tone. The artist has intentionally done this to avoid adding weight and depth as this image was in fact designed to be on a handkerchief. There is palpable light intensity or conditions within the image as it is digitally synthesised and needs be symmetrical. In the stars inside the atmosphere black sky the there is a sense of light and tone where the stars are brightly combusting and emitting light
Texture & Pattern:
There is a barcode like pattern that encompasses the whole image further followed by what looks like angled brackets. In the centre of the image there is a cyclic pattern just out surrounding the exterior of a rhombus. Due to the symmetry of the image it can all be considered a pattern when thought upon in profound manner. The texture of the image is very flat and block based. There is little graduation between colours and any noticeable pattern.
