The image above is a close to natural photo form my phone, I mirrored the image to give it more of a centered image due to the main lines meeting in the center. The original image is a bit blurry due to the lens flare but i used the blur feature and some layer merging to achieve clearer lines if for the cost of a slightly blurry image. Finally this image successfully achieves the 'infinity room' feel through the fact it seems like the layers go on forever.
This image is of a painted corner of a mirror, it doesn't have the 'going on forever' look but it still looks impressive. I toned down the brightness and bumped up the saturation to make the colours pop more and to have the dark spot in the center of the image witch looks like a black hole sucking in all of the colour. In addition to that the paint on the glass is clear and in focus which contrasts with the reflected colours which have no coherent shape or form.
This image is a bit more divergent to the rest since instead of being in a tightly packed box it it a image taken through a prism making the focal point the only non distorted part of the image. I mirrored this image and tiled it together to emulate the look of a mirror. Also the darker segments of the original image are condensed in two spots in the center of the image giving the image a distinct form.
This image is of a single LED in a concealed dark box, I mirrored the image to expand it and to shrink the focal point, and again had to use the blur/layering technique to downscale the lens flare. In this image I also experimented with the use of hue shifting; This LED was all one colour yet due to the way light and hue shifting works the image looks like the work of many differently coloured bulbs. This image is very reminiscent of the infinity room style as it is seemingly going of forever deeper and deeper in the image. Unfortunately I was unable to fully clone the room part as it was taken in a small box. Finally I was able to successfully hide the camera from the mirrors meaning that the image is much more immersive to the viewer.
This image i experimented with lines and flat tones to create what looks to be some abstract graphic design, the shape and everything looks to be spreading from the center if the image. The bright light in the center also contrasts with the dark ring aroun it reminding me of an eye and making the center pop out a little. Finally i find the way the image was focused interesting as it is in focus only in the very center and around the edge adding depth to the image in a uncanny way.
This indeed made with the same image as the first one but I decided to take it in a different aesthetic direction. after clearing it out I lowered the levels leaving only the burning lines in tact and then force sharpened the image to make the lines look more like vectors. Then I shifted the hue to leave these eerie lines on the image.
In this image I again used a mirroring technique but I transformed the separate tiles in the image to achieve a slightly different effect. I also differentiated the clones by making strips of the image different colours. I also on purpose didn't finish off the top of the image to make it have a jagged end look like a mountain.
